My name is Joey Jarrard. I am a board certified general surgeon and fellowship trained bariatric surgeon.
I grew up on a farm in a small town in South Georgia. I completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, then general surgical training in Macon, Georgia. Gaining a passion for minimally invasive approaches to surgery during residency, I decided to complete an additional year of advanced minimally invasive and bariatric surgical training in Kansas City, Missouri.
I am a first generation physician in my family. I truly love practicing general surgery and am happy to offer minimally invasive approaches for my patients. My areas of expertise include bariatric surgery, reflux surgery, robotic surgery, advanced abdominal wall reconstruction, colon and rectal cancer, as well as a broad spectrum of general surgery.
